HTML5s buzz word debacle

Poor econsultancy is getting slammed in both the comments and their embedded twitter feed for the blog article they posted yesterday on html5. While definitely poorly researched it does raise the fact that HTML5 has been turned into a buzz word (thanks apple) for clients who are lumping html5, css, and javascript altogether and I wouldn’t be surprised to eventually see some design theme stick to it like how shiny buttons stuck to web2.0. We should be well educated on the subject and be prepared to handle the topic when approached by clients.
