Outlook 2007: line-height rescue™

Sometimes I truly feel shoved into a corner when I build email blasts for outlook 2007. Their rendering engine took many steps back and forces us to build things the old fashion for-netscape-3.0 way.

One of the problems I encounter is assigning a line-height attribute. Today I learned that nothing under 16px gets read. Oy vey!

Today, however, I also learned that there’s a fix:
add “mso-line-height-rule:exactly;” just before the proper line-height property.

<div style=”mso-line-height-rule:exactly; line-height:15px;”>MY TEXT WILL GO IN HERE </div>

then BAM! it’s read correctly on outlook 2007. hurray for fixes! boo for more code!
