The latest Nielsen poll results for consumer smart phones put Android in the lead with 43% now owning a Google-based phone. Of purchases made in the last 3 months, 56% were Android OS.

Apple’s iPhone holds 28% of the market. Blackberry is down to 18% and sliding, with only 9% purchased in the last 3 months.
