A friend of mine directed me to this site that aggregates new blog posts that use the phrase “I feel” or “I am feeling” and tries to identify the feeling in that phrase. It also attempts to extract the time, gender, location and weather. It uses all of this information and displays it in numerous ways, the default being the crazy particle system where each dot is a feeling. It gives you the ability to sort through the mess and display specifics like “What are 30 year old males feeling in new york city today?”. There is also an API that allows you to use their data.

It’s a java applet in case you are curious as to the technology behind it.
